Amara co-founded Lodestar in 2011 after twelve years running operations for an engineering consulting firm. She leads our work with professional services firms.
Amara spent twelve years as operations director of a 300-person engineering consulting firm before co-founding Lodestar with Tom Brannigan in 2011.
She has led more than forty engagements with accounting, law and engineering firms, most of them firms going through the move from founder-run to partner-run.
How she works
Amara starts every engagement with the same question: what would the owner do with an extra day a week? The answer usually tells her where the business is stuck.
Outside work
She chairs the board of a youth music nonprofit in Chicago and hikes the Indiana Dunes most weekends.
