Questions

Questions about fees

Why a fixed fee?

Because an hourly meter rewards the wrong things. We agree on the scope and the fee in writing before we start, and we carry the risk if it takes longer.

What does the fee include?

All of our time, on site and off, and the reports and tools we hand over. Travel within the continental US is included; we agree on anything farther afield first.

How do we pay?

Half at the start and half at the end for fixed-fee work. Change work is invoiced monthly in advance, and you can stop it with a month's notice.

Are we too small to work with you?

Our clients usually have revenue between $5M and $250M. If you are smaller, call us anyway: we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit, and who to talk to if not.

What happens on the first call?

Thirty minutes with a partner. You describe the problem; we ask questions and tell you whether we can help. There is no charge and no pitch deck.

Will you keep our numbers confidential?

Yes. We sign your confidentiality agreement or offer ours before the first meeting, and we never name a client without their written consent.
